Assassin's Creed Rebellion Announced for iOS and Android
30 June 2017, 12:57 | Hattie Nash
Spark the rebellion and forge your brotherhood
Rebellion puts you in charge of your own Brotherhood, where you'll manage a fortress and engage in covert operations while being able to recruit more than 40 Assassins. Although the trailer only focuses on the game's new and, frankly, very cute art style, we do get a glimpse of gameplay towards the end.
Apart from familiar assassins including Ezio, Aguilar, Shao Jun, Claudia, and Machiavelli, players will have 20 new unlockable characters within the game that have been specifically created for the upcoming mobile videogame.
Assassin's CreedRebellion doesn't have a release date yet but Ubisoft say it's in development with a worldwide release "coming soon" to iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Android.
However, the plots and the direction of the characters are likely going to be a bit different from previous Assassin's Creed games. The title is set in Spain during the Spanish Inquisition.
Istanbul Bans Gay Pride Parade for Second Year in a Row
Small groups of people gathered in side streets waving rainbow flags, symbols of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride. There were also LGBT pride parades in Seattle, Toronto, Chicago, Minneapolis, New York City and other cities held on Sunday.
But the most groundbreaking change lies in the fact that the game's new quest structure is powered by artificial intelligence. As such, Ubisoft is taking extra care to further improve the franchise with Assassin's Creed Origins. There are standard missions which will net you resources for upgrading your base and Assassins, Loot missions which earn crafting materials, and even Story missions.
Rebellion is a free-to-play strategy RPG coming to iOS and Android phones and tablets. You will have new items and equipment in this game, plus the ability to still train your assassins just like the other games in the series. Ubisoft does recommend systems running iOS 8 or Android 4.1, with at least 2GB RAM in the latter. You can check the full list of the five games out below.
If you love the series, you may already know that Assassin's Creed Origins is out later this year.
