House intel panel interviews Podesta in Russia probe
Stone predicted last summer on Twitter that there would be an October surprise that would disrupt Clinton's campaign, and he even suggested Podesta would face scandal shortly before the Democrat's emails started surfacing on WikiLeaks.
Intel committee member Trey Gowdy, South Carolina Republican, asked Johnson about the DNC's decision not to turn over its email server to law enforcement or intelligence agencies, saying, "Maybe we would have known more and maybe there would have been more for you to report".
Roger Stone, a longtime associate of President Trump, will testify before the House Intelligence Committee on July 24 in a closed-door session, ABC News has learned. "There is no collusion, none - at least none that I know about, in Donald Trump's campaign for president". Stone insisted he was referring to Podesta's business dealings.
"Roger Stone has been maligned by innuendo and misinformation regarding all of the events surrounding this investigation", an attorney for Stone said in a statement. According to that same statement, Stone is reportedly looking forward to making his testimony to the committee. Lawyer Robert Buschel said Stone looks forward to providing "a timeline based only on the facts".
Russian Federation has denied trying to influence the election, and Trump has dismissed such allegations as sour grapes by Democrats and their supporters unable to come to terms with his surprise victory in November.

"Trust me, it will soon be Podesta's time in the barrel", the tweet read.
The hacking of Podesta's personal email account and the release of those emails by WikiLeaks during the late stages of the campaign is one focus of the committee's investigation.
The emails laid bare internal party wranglings over issues embarrassing to Hillary Clinton, including the investigation into the attacks on US government facilities in Benghazi and the challenge posed to Clinton by Democrat leadership candidate Bernie Sanders.
But the Podesta emails also led to the rise of a stunning series of fake news reports, which falsely alleged that Clinton and Podesta were running a child sex-trafficking ring out of a Washington pizzeria through coded messages falsely alleged to have been in his emails. He's largely seen as a "political dirty trickster" for promoting a number of falsehoods and conspiracy theories.
