The director is already meeting with A-list talent for the project

The iconic filmmaker is looking to make a movie about the Manson Murders. Mr. Tarantino is nearly finished writing the script, according to the report, and actors including Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence have been approached.

Charles Manson, the leader of the cult, and a few of his followers were sentenced to life in prison in 1971 for the murders at Tate's residence and several other killings the group committed.

According to IndieWire, Tarantino, who's reportedly already written the script, will also serve as the director.

Tarantino is apparently already meeting actors about the project, with the likes of Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie all said to be in the mix. It's unclear who Pitt might play, though Manson is an obvious pick.

The Hollywood Reporter has details on the director's new film, which follows up 2015's The Hateful Eight. So, does that mean Manson and his associates will end up the victims this time around, with Sharon Tate and her friends getting historical fiction vengeance?

Sharon Tate's murder, as well as those who were at her home on August 8, 1969, was planned and ordered by the now-incarcerated Charles Manson. Deadline adds that Samuel L. Jackson, who's starred in four of Quentin's eight movies and contributed to two others, will also take part.

Now he's decided what he wants his 10th feature film to be, and it'll be about the Manson Family Murders. But I'm just spit-balling here. if we can expect any one thing of a late Tarantino picture, it's this: Film Twitter is going to be a brutal place when the thing finally hits.

Fans would be eager to see what unique angle Tarantino brings to the infamous murders.

While it will definitely be uniquely violent, this would also be Tarantino's first movie based on real events-yes WWII happened, but Hitler was not killed in a movie theater.
