Inks one-year contract with 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers

Redick recently located to the East Coast from Los Angeles, where he spent the past four seasons with the LA Clippers.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that J.J. Redick "will not return to the Clippers" and is in talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Brooklyn Nets.

Redick, 33, has averaged 15-plus points in each of the past four seasons. The news was initially broken by Redick, who tweeted out a phrase that has become a rallying cry for the franchise. After building up a talented young core with the likes of Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and rookie Markelle Fultz, the Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly added a top-end free agent. According to The Post's Brian Lewis, the Nets were willing to give Redick a second year, but Redick chose to bet on himself - and on The Process.

West Indies set target of 184 runs for India
The Taylor-led West Indies have a very large task to stop an in-form Indian batting line-up if they have to press for a win. Punam Raut (86) and Smriti Mandhana (90) put on a 144-run opening stand that deflated the spirits of the English team.

"It's where I wanted to be", Redick told ESPN in a text message.

The former Duke standout played his first six-plus seasons with the Orlando Magic from 2006-07 to 2012-13 before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. Most importantly, he shot an impressive 43 percent from 3-point range, which should help spread the floor and open up driving lanes in the 76ers' offense.

Redick also took to Twitter to indicate he's heading to Philly.
