In a video posted on social media on Wednesday, activist and documentary maker Brar said he hoped to "bring awareness" to what he said was a "bad and destabilising" U.S. president. The owner said he placed it behind the White House to egg the president into releasing his tax returns.
Since then the chicken, which was erected by documentary filmmaker Taran Singh Brar, has become an internet sensation, sparking a number of memes and hashtags in its honor.
Brar, in a report by Reuters, said: "I brought the chicken out here to make a statement nearly like a visual, political protest to critique the President's behaviour".
Brar listed Trump's unwillingness to release tax returns, stand up to Vladimir Putin and dealing with North Korea as his prime examples.

Yemen: smuggler pushes migrants into sea, 50 dead
The IOM says about 55,000 migrants have left Horn of Africa nations for Yemen since January, with most from Somalia and Ethiopia . The migrants usually make the unsafe journey across the Mediterranean Sea with smugglers, who sometimes overcrowd the boats.
While the chicken, which has an uncanny resemblance to Trump, can bee seen outside of the White House, it appeared without explanation or message attached.
The Hill reports that the chicken was designed with "a golden coif of hair" and it was meant to resemble President Trump. "I realized it's actually better, because the symbolism works and the Secret Service won't be as jumpy", Brar said. "They gave me a waiver for the 30-foot tall Chicken Don". That chicken statue, which is seen in the tweet below, is in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province. Knockoffs of the original sculpture include miniature ceramic replicas, shirts, mugs and, of course, a giant inflatable model. However, it is unclear why the rooster made its arrival again, according to CBS News.
Sadly, Trump is, indeed, visiting one of his properties right now on what he claims is a working vacation.
How to safely and profitably bet the 2017 Los Angeles Dodgers
Last summer, they made a small trade with the Seattle Mariners when they sent young pitcher Zach Lee north in exchange for Taylor. What's maybe remarkable about this 50-game stretch is the Dodgers have done it with a revolving door of players coming and going.
