Allo for web looks to be about to launch with new link in app sidebar
Here's what you need to know.
While reports of Allo's launch for desktop users surfaced first in February this year, the firm revealed that the app can now be used only by Android users, by scanning a QR code on their phones. It has an Android Messages app for mobile as well, and it just broadly rolled out a new messaging platform within YouTube. Almost every Allo feature is supported, including group chats, incognito conversations, stickers, and, most importantly, Google Assistant.
Once you scan the code, Allo should sync up with your Android phone and get you up-to-date on conversations within the browser. But there's a caveat. Then you will need to open Allo on your Android Phone. Go to the Allo website, and there you'll find a QR code. However, there's no official word if the app works with other browsers.
The feature is quite similar to WhatsApp, which is arguably the biggest competitor of Google Allo.

Google Allo is now available on the web
Limited testing reveals that much like with WhatsApp, your smartphone will need to be connected to the World Wide Web in order for the browser version of Allo to work.
Web support for Allo was teased months ago, and now Google has made good on its promise, though there are a few important caveats.
It should be noted that this is not a standalone web portal for the Allow messaging service (like we saw with Hangouts).
Open the menu and look for "Allo for web" icon. Alternatively, there is an "Allo for Web" tab as well. From here, you'll select "ScanQR code".

Watch a Yankees fan deflate during Devers' home run
This means taking anything less than three of the four upcoming games against the crosstown rival New York Mets is unacceptable. I don't think that any of the other teams in the Wild Card chase will be able to pass the Yankees by the end of the year.
