Buhari holds high-profile briefing session with Osinbajo

President Buhari had yesterday met with service chiefs and ordered them to ensure Nigeria remains an entity.

While speaking during his national address on Monday, the president spoke largely about insecurity in the country, especially the resurgence of terrorist group, Boko Haram.

Describing the claim as a failed attempt at fooling Nigerians, Omokri, who took to his Facebook wall said, "The Muhammadu Buhari administration must think we are fools for that story in TheCable claiming that the President is working from home because his office is being "renovated"!"

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has directed security agencies to safeguard the lives and property of all citizens and secure the nation's borders from aggressors.

He said President Buhari has given some directives including tackling the threats, which, he said, would be carried out by the military and the security agencies soon.

On the issue of the Independent Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), Olonishakin said, "The issues of security, every security threat, all security threats were treated one after the other ranging from terrorism to kidnapping, herdsmen/farmers clash, to IPOB issue, were all treated".

President Buhari resumed his official duties on Monday, August 21, after making his return to the country on Saturday, August 19, 103 days after he left for London to resume treatment for an undisclosed illness.

Anyata said the rally was also meant to drum up support for Buhari in the South-East. Yemi Osinbajo, who functioned as the Acting President.

"But we are glad to say that the Vice- President, Prof". His personal diplomatic touch in dealing with the explosive socio-political situations that confronted us went a long way in keeping situations under control.
