Browns Comeback Falls Short, Steelers Win Opener 21-18

11 September 2017, 12:45 | Melanie Burgess

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Cleveland Browns 21-18 on Sunday.

The Browns played well.

The defense was also a bright spot on Sunday, as the group only allowed 14 points after that blocked punt disaster at the start of the game.

Brown reportedly told the team during that meeting, "do not disrespect your country, do not disrespect the flag". In fact, it seems like J.J.is the one who now has to live up to his family name on the field, especially after the huge debut T.J. had with the Steelers today against the Cleveland Browns.

The Steelers made life miserable for the Browns quarterback - this time Kizer.

The Browns' offense struggled to move the ball on their first two drives of the game, but on the third, everything clicked, and they drew even with the Pittsburgh Steelers, 7-7, when Kizer rushed for a touchdown with 22 seconds to play in the first quarter. Brown finished with 11 receptions for 182 yards. He went 6-for-7 with 45 yards passing to go along with the touchdown run, and his team is now tied up at home against the Steelers.

"The City of Cleveland Divisions of Police, Fire and EMS have been and continue to be highly supportive of our athletes and those within the Browns Organization, participating in community events together throughout the year", Cleveland Public Safety Director Michael McGrath said in a statement.

In his 89 game career, J.J. Watt has never had a game with two or more sacks and an interception. Roethlisberger got excellent protection on the play and found James in front of Schobert.
