iTunes Removes the App Store and More to Focus on Music, Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, and Audiobooks
Apple just started rolling out the golden master build of its latest operating system updateiOS 11 to the developers for beta testing on September 12.
While Apple expanded its iPhone lineup today, a software update delivered for iTunes on Windows and Mac PCs is slimming things down a bit. Ditching the App Store means that apps can only be downloaded using an iOS device, but as significant as this is, it is not the only notable change in the software.
ITunes has always been derided for being bloated, and this latest change seems to be Apple's attempt to get things back under control.
iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps will be exclusively available in the new App Store for iOS. Now, users will only be able to download music, movies, television shows, podcasts, and audiobooks from iTunes, according to Apple (aapl). And a lighter iTunes desktop app could make it easier for Apple to bring it in the Windows Store, as announced.
Crane cracks and falls in Miami
Dan Whiteman, vice chairman Coastal Construction, said he has 12 cranes in the Miami area. No injuries were reported after either crash, said Miami City Manager Daniel Alfonso.
On your Mac, launch the App Store app in your Applications folder. All you have to do is download and install the 64-bit version of Kodi for iOS.
Downloading and installing iTunes 12.7 should only take a few minutes, but this will depend on the user's internet speed.
The app will use the internet to look for new updates. Unlike previous iterations, the new App Store for iOS 11 devices will be more editorial than before and focuses on having users discover new and popular apps. While the App Store has been an important part of the iTunes app, the company doing away with it only suggests that the company is now shifting the app's focus to music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and other entertainment content.
