Brooke Baldwin looking suitably
During a panel discussion on the Jemele Hill controversy and the White House calling her to be fired, things took an entirely different turn when sports radio host and provocateur Clay Travis pointed out that he only believes in two things fully.
While trying to make some unintelligible point, Travis made a decision to throw in some shock factor by saying he "only believes in two things: the First Amendment in boobs". "Why would you even go there?"
CNN host Brooke Baldwin questioned Travis on what the final word was thinking he meant "booze" or something else, and repeatedly asked for a clarification before ending the segment early and apologizing for Travis' comments.
Manchester City hit by latest Kompany calf blow
If this display is anything to go by, Pep may have just found the last piece of the City jigsaw that he so desperately needs. Raheem Sterling and Skrtel put them 2-0 up only for David Silva and Glen Johnson's own goal to level things after the break.
Sampha wins the Mercury Prize
Sampha has won the Mercury Prize for his album which ruminates about the loss of his mother from cancer. The Mercury Prize began in 1992, and was won by Primal Scream with their album Screamadelica .
Travis then wrote an article for his sports blog, OutkickTheCoverage.com, with the headline "I Love The First Amendment and Boobs" along with a picture of a woman in a bikini top.
"I'm done, I'm sorry. You believe in the First Amendment and b-double-o-b-s?" "This is done. This is conversation over yanking my ... bye".
Later in a tweet, Baldwin reiterated her disapproval. "Those are the only two things I believe 100 percent in in this country", Travis said. "What did you just say?" I also don't believe Curt Schilling should have been fired for what he said about the North Carolina transgender bathroom law or any of the other conservative political positions he's adopted over the years. As if there's debate about the existence of boobs-but then again, there are flat-Earthers and climate change deniers, so maybe Travis has brushed up against fringe anti-boob movements. "Because I like boobs and the First Amendment, which is exactly what I said".
Travis' comments were widely condemned while special praise was reserved for Baldwin, who didn't let Travis get away with the "joke".
In NH, Trump voter panel investigates fraud
The Democrats on the panel should walk away now rather than continue to provide a bipartisan patina to this dishonest enterprise. We may never definitively know how Republican efforts to discourage Democratic votes affected the outcome of the 2016 election.
