It Just Got More Expensive to Build an iPhone

iPhone 8 vs. iPhone X vs. iPhone 7 [COMPARISON]

It officially confirms what we reported a couple of weeks ago, in that the iPhone 8 and X will need to use USB-C to take advantage of fast charging.

The iPhone 8 Plus is the best smartphone that Apple has ever made -and one that you should probably not buy.

As you might know, the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X all provide support for the fast-charging feature that enables the three phones to reach to 50 percent of their total battery capacity within 30 minutes of being plugged in.

Chinese regulator TENAA has revealed that the iPhone X sports the same amount of RAM as the less revolutionary iPhone 8 Plus - 3GB. Apple's shipments for the last quarter were flat year-on-year and Samsung's Galaxy S8 devices have been successful in the high-end pricing segment, creating a competitive environment.

And the iPhone 8 carries a BOM of $247.51, which is $9.57 higher than the iPhone 7 when it was released.

North Korean foreign minister: We may test hydrogen bomb in Pacific
China is North Korea's last major trading partner, diplomatic ally and energy supplier. "We clearly need more sanctions". President Donald Trump addresses world leaders at the 72nd United Nations General Assembly in NY on September 19, 2017.

Brady Connects With Brandin Cooks For Game-Winning Touchdown
Texans owner Bob McNair , who donated $1 million to the Trump campaign, issued a statement also condemning the president's words. There have been many injuries for the Patriots in first two games of the season and the situation for them is far from ideal.

However, iPhone X has been plagued by a number of production issues and its shipment date of November 3 is much later than those of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus, which are already in the market having been launched earlier this month. In contrast, the iPhone X is expected to take a huge hit in profitability - despite its hefty price tag - because it's insane expensive to build.

That added to concerns on Wall Street about demand for Apple's new devices after the launch last Friday of the iPhone 8, a less expensive model than the iPhone X, drew smaller crowds than previous launches.

Ahead of the iPhone X launch, numerous rumours suggested there would be significant supply shortages which could see Apple launch with only 3-4 million units ready for consumers, with that particular figure coming from Kuo himself.

Part makers for 3-D sensors are struggling with output and yield rates for Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone X, according to Nikkei Asian Review sources. Apple has spent $31.20 and $27.50 respectively on NAND memory by SanDisk and A11 Bionic processor. Apple, in other words, has found a way to make a bigger profit on a smartphone it pays more to manufacture. As apps are optimized for iOS 11, and Apple further polishes iOS 11, it's likely that RAM performance will get a significant bump, on par with expectations.
