Debra Messing 'regrets' Megyn Kelly appearance after new 'Today' host's gay joke

NBC's Megyn Kelly says she's 'done with politics' on debut

Megyn Kelly asked Jane Fonda a question about plastic surgery during the "TODAY Show".

Actress Jane Fonda shut down Megyn Kelly when asked about her plastic surgeries in an awkward moment from the "Today Show".

What do you think Megyn Kelly will have to say to Debra Messing's comment? "You admit you had work done".

Unamused, Fonda sternly replied: "We really want to talk about that now?" But Kelly appeared more interested in the 79-year-old's history with cosmetic procedures rather than the movie.

"Well, one of the things people think about when they look at you is how wonderful you look", Kelly said.

In response to Kelly, Fonda credited her "good attitude, good posture", and taking care of herself as reasons for how she looks now.

The former Fox News anchor welcomed longtime friends Fonda and Robert Redford, who have reunited on the new Netflix film "Our Souls at Night" and sat down with Kelly to promote it.

The drop in viewers meanwhile is far, far less than the one Megyn saw after the premiere of her news magazine for NBC earlier this year, which lost half of its audience after the first episode and never recovered.

But Kelly couldn't take a hint and continued her line of questioning: "Well, one of the things people think when they look at you is how unbelievable you look", she said.

The interview, which took place during the third hour of The Today Show covered a lot of ground with with the veteran actors, from their young Hollywood success to having starring roles near age 80. "Regret going on. Dismayed by her comments", she wrote.

Turner enthusiastically responded "I look at Will Truman, I'm like, "He has it made": lawyer, best apartment in New York City, and gay?"
