France teenage forward Kylian Mbappe acknowledged on Wednesday that he had meant to stay at Monaco this football season, but something happened there that led him to change his mind and join Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) instead.

PSG now boast one of the most exciting front-lines in world football, and Mbappe was keen to post an image alongside his new teammate following a busy Tuesday for the France global.

The teenage sensation swapped Ligue 1 champions Monaco for PSG in a loan move that will be made permanent ahead of next season for a reported €180million. "I have a lot to learn and a lot to prove".
