The Xperia XZ1 packs a 5.2 inch full HD HDR Triluminous display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. For selfie lovers, it has a 13MP front facing wide-angle camera with f2.0 aperture.

The company claims the 19MP rear camera shows their expertise in camera technology with four "inventive" features - 3D Creator, super slow-motion video, predictive capture and autofocus burst.

With 64GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded upto 256GB, the flagship mobile will operate on Android 8.0 Oreo with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Adreno 540 GPU.

The model comes with a 19 MP MotionEye camera with 3D-scanning abilities. We pitted all three smartphones based on their price specifications, and here's how they fare. Alongside the XZ1, Sony also launched a mid-range Xperia XA1 Plus smartphone, which recently launched at Rs. 24,990 in the Indian market.

Bose Officially Announces Headphones With Google Assistant
Now, the firm is updating them, introducing a second generation which will bring in the power of Google Assistant . The two companies worked closely to "create a great Assistant experience", one that will cost you $350.

Sony is really proud of the XZ1's s camera. As most of the Sony devices, even this smartphone is IP65 and IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. When compared with other flagship phones, the battery capacity seems to be on the lesser side, as 3,000 mAh has become pretty much standard on this class of devices. The battery could be a major concern here for some and it would be interesting to see, how well does it perform during our testing period.

Sony Xperia XZ1 that is priced a $699.99 in USA nearly will cost Rs 45,000 in India. Sony has also bypassed the dual camera setup (a trend that is fast catching up these days) and is instead betting big on the 3D scanning feature on its camera. Also, while the Xperia XZ1 runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, the Galaxy S8 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, whereas the U11 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. ( original price - Rs 3,490). This is a huge bet and whether it pays off is something only time will tell. Interestingly, it has on-screen navigation buttons, making the bottom bezel bland. Well, we can't say at the moment but what we can do is provide the key specifications of the handsets to help you buy the device of your taste and budget.

Watch out for this space for a detailed review of the Xperia XZ1 soon.
