Tesla To Voluntarily Recall 11000 Model X Vehicles Over Seat Cables That Could Break During A Crash
According to the Tesla, the company had determined that a small number of cables in the second row fold-flat seats in "some" 2016 and 2017SUVs may need readjustments. Tesla informed that as per their estimate, only 3 percent of recalled vehicles have an issue with the seat cable.
The Model offered for sale globally is a problem that prevents rear seats of X from locking properly, and that problem will leave passengers vulnerable at a possible accident.
Repairs of the seats will be undertaken by Tesla's new mobile service.
Fortunately the fix isn't too hard, and you can even have a Tesla technician visit you at your home if you prefer - it takes about 10 minutes to correct the fault, and then you can drive away safe in the knowledge that all your vehicle seats are going to stay in place.
Ivana Trump on her 'insane' divorce from Donald Trump
Despite their messy divorce and his affair, Donald and Ivana are on good terms now, and even speak almost once a week. Trump says her relationship with the President's third wife - first lady Melania Trump - is a totally different story.
The voluntary recall comes at a time when investors and Wall Street seem divided about the prospects for the green automaker.
Tesla began informing customers about the recall Thursday. In the spring of past year it recalled 2,700 Model XSUVS because of locking hinge in the third-row seats that didn't work. Tesla's going to use mobile fix services for this job. The recall affects Model XSUVs built between October 28, 2016 and September 1, 2017.
Tesla had a great appreciation for Model X design. Model X has received the highest rating in every category and subcategory in independent crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and we are committed to ensuring that Model X remains the safest SUV in the world.
