'I' on iPhone Keyboard Doesn't Work Right Now, Customers Complain

An iOS bug won't let some users type 'I'
The predictive auto-correct text feature is changing the letter i/I into the A and? combination, though not all iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch users are experiencing the problem. It's unclear how many users are affected, but the bug forced Apple to post a dedicated support page on its site that describes a workaround.
These fixes aren't flawless but they'll do the trick until Apple issues an update to A [?] OS 11.1.
To set up a text replacement, go to the Settings menu, tap General, then Keyboard, and tap Text Replacement. This overrides the autocorrect so that every time you type a lowercase "i" it will change to an uppercase "I". This underlines further iOS 11.1 issues and problems, and the bug is apparent throughout iMessage, Twitter, Instagram, and other apps. The predictive keyboard tends to suggest random characters, and automatically replaces the "I" you've typed unless corrective action is taken.
"I have a $1150 [$A1495] telephone that can't read the letter "i", he wrote on Twitter, clearly seeing the amusing side of things. "A fix will be released very soon".

We look forward to Apple issuing this updating and ending this chaos, and will let you know when it's safe to use the first person voice in your texts and tweets again. After receiving reports from a number of its users, MacRumors theorizes that the bug may be caused by an unrecognized emoji from iOS 11.
Apple has not respond to a CNN request for comment.
For those who are using an Apple device with iOS 11, a keyboard glitch might not allow you to type certain vowels.
