According to Espn.com, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has granted a request for an administrative stay to the NFL Players Association on behalf of Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott. So I came in Friday and practiced and spent all day Friday watching a lot of film. Elliott was not charged by prosecutors for an alleged assault reported to police in Columbus, Ohio, in July 2016.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Elliott for six games on August 11 after a 13-month investigation concluded he was in violation of the league's personal-conduct policy for the incident in the summer of 2016.
On Monday, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York City said Elliott's case was on the docket for 2 p.m. ET Thursday, Nov. 9.
The person said there is little chance the union and league would agree to a settlement by which Elliott would serve a reduced suspension.

If the three-judge panel rejects the request for a preliminary injunction with an announcement Thursday night or Friday, then Elliott's six-game suspension would begin.
