A third year brings with it a new threat
Rainbow Six Siege could soon be getting a new Zombie mode after the White Noise rollout when the Year 3 release date comes along.
The White Noise update brings with it three new characters and a new map called Tower which takes place in a skyscraper in Seoul.
According to Rolling Stone, Ubisoftannounced the third year of Rainbow Six Siege will include, among other things, the game's first ever co-op game mode, called Outbreak. More details on Mission Outbreak will be revealed leading up to and during the Six Invitational 2018 that runs from February 13 to 18.
And it looks like it could be a Zombie mode, with it tied to the biohazard and quarantine theme of year 3 season one - Operation Chimera.

Dogs may help lonely people walk off heart disease
The world's population can be divided into three groups: people who have a dog, people who want to get a dog and bad people. The researchers can't provide proof dog ownership actually causes a decrease in risk for cardiovascular disease .
Ubisoft Montreal said Rainbow Six Siege fans would be fighting "against something that you might not totally expect" in Outbreak.
Year 3 is set to begin with Operation Chimera, which introduces two brand new operators as well as the Outbreak event.
After that, it will be gone. "With that special event, we are taking [the new operators] and a bunch of Rainbow Six in a four-week event that has really a twist on it". Due to that delay, players got one less new map in 2017 and it meant the Year 2 Season 3 (Operation Blood Orchid) DLC included not two, but three operators, and the same is happening for the Year 2 Season 4 drop, Operation White Noise which adds the second Polish operator (Zofia), and a pair of all-new South Korean operators which are detailed in the video up top. The season pass for Year 3 will be made available from December 12, whilst the final season of Year 2 launches this week with Operation White Noise, featuring the Mok Myeok Tower map and three new operators. Two new Italian GIS Operators will be made available and a map that's located somewhere in Italy will also be available.
