Two killed in shooting at Colorado Walmart store

Emergency personnel respond to a shooting at a Walmart Super Center in Thornton, Colo. Avila declined to say if Ostrem was armed.

Thornton police spokesman Victor Avila said Thursday that 47-year-old Scott Ostrem was arrested without incident after a brief chase that started at a Thornton apartment.

Police first reported that gunshots had been fired around 6 p.m. Wednesday night. A little more than an hour later, they tweeted that there was not an active shooter "at this time". He is still at large and police are trying to identify him with video footage.

The shooting happened at the Walmart at 9900 Grant Street.

He says the motive is unknown.
