There was no joking about Rozier settling for layups Monday night against the Indiana Pacers, not after he raced to track down a steal in the final seconds then capitalized with a game-winning slam at the other end.

For the next two minutes, the teams traded buckets, with IN getting two baskets off of offensive rebounds as Thaddeus Young and Lance Stephenson both mixed it up IN the paint to keep the Pacers within striking distance.

- The Pacers spent much of their time at the free-throw line, connecting on 30 of 38 (!) attempts from the charity stripe compared to Boston's 8-of-14 line.

The best way for the Pacers to neutralize the half-court defense of the Celtics would be to push the tempo and utilize transition offense.

Irving stepped out to the left corner for a 3-pointer, cutting the IN lead to 107-105 with 27.5 seconds left.

"That was one hell of a of a game to be a part of", Irving said.

Irving had 30 points for Boston, which trailed 107-102 after Oladipo's basket with 31 seconds left.

- Al Horford notched his eighth double-double of the season with 14 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. With less than a minute remaining, Oladipo hit a 3-pointer that gave IN its first lead of the game and a layup that stretched the Pacers' lead to 107-102 with 31 seconds left.

Jayson Tatum contributed 16 points and Marcus Smart added 15 and the Celtics made their first 10 shots and improved the best record in the Eastern Conference to 26-7.

Ryanair pilots' Christmas strike suspended for last-minute talks sparking relief for passengers
German union Vereinigung Cockpit said the onus was now on Ryanair to "prove that this announcement is serious". It has asked the airline to release its pilot representatives so they can prepare for and attend the meeting.

"Kyrie (Irving) and Marcus (Smart) had the first trap and Marcus was trying to yell to the referee, 'I'm fouling, I'm fouling!' but they didn't call it", Rozier said.

The Pacers cut the deficit to single digits in the third quarter and rallied late in the fourth. "We've got to have a better start".

Celtics: Boston has won five straight against Indiana.

"It's a 48-minute game and we just lost our composure", IN coach Nate McMillan said of the poor execution. The 61.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc was a season-best for Boston.

- Boston became the first team to win a game this season after trailing by five or more with 20 seconds left in regulation.

Terry Rozier's steal and layup with 1.2 seconds remaining Monday gave Boston a 112-111 National Basketball Association victory over the Indiana Pacers after the Celtics squandered a 19-point lead.

The lead continued to shrink throughout the fourth quarter with an Oladipo 3-point play tying the score at 100, with 1:52 to play.

At Charlotte, reserve Frank Kaminsky scored 24 points and the host Hornets snapped a three-game losing streak with a 109-91 victory over NY.
