Federal Bureau of Investigation makes arrest in disappearance of 3-year-old NC girl

At 2.30am WCTI12.com announced that Earl Kimrey had been taken into custody and charged for concealing a death and the obstruction of justice. WCTI spoke with a 23-year-old Newport, North Carolina woman Wednesday who said she was the woman pictured in the surveillance photos.

Kimrey is being held on more than $1 million bond.

The district attorney said additional charges could be pending.

Investigators posted, "Due to evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, it is believed that Mariah is deceased".

Arrest warrants obtained by CBS North Carolina report Kimrey obstructed justice by, "removing Mariah Woods' body from the scene of her death and did hide Mariah Woods' death and body, knowing that Mariah Woods died from unnatural causes".

Authorities have arrested a man in connection with the disappearance of a 3-year-old North Carolina girl. Please just bring her back safe and sound - she's my baby, she's my everything'. The FBI also joined the search for Mariah.

"The focus of this investigation has changed from a missing child to homicide case", Meador added.
