Google's Datally can help limit your data usage

Google's mobile data-saving app has moved out of beta and renamed to Datally
Today GoogleannouncedDatally, a smart and simple Android app that helps smartphone users understand, control, and save mobile data. You can also use the bubble to block an app from consuming data. It's available in the Google Play store for any Android phones running Android 5.0 Lollipop or newer.
Google's new Datally app allows users to track their data usage in real time and get personalised recommendations on how to save data.
And as we mentioned earlier, Datally also tells users if there are public Wi-Fi hubs nearby, so they can switch to Wi-Fi and save data. Google says that it has been testing the app in Philippines for a couple of months, and till now, Datally has managed to hit over 50,000 users. The app lets users view the total amount of consumed data by other apps on users' smartphones with letting them turn off or on data within those apps. But, they appreciated the idea as they noticed users allowing data consumption by "apps they really like". Those areas also have limited connectivity and data availability, making an app like Datally even more important.
The country manager said finding quality public Wi-Fi could be challenging, adding that within the range of a public network, Datally's Wi-Fi finder would notify one and help you connect.
US Navy plane has 'unsafe' encounter with Russian jet
P-8A Poseidon aircraft over the Black Sea by crossing in front of it from right to left while engaging its afterburners. The unprofessional behavior demonstrated by the Russian pilot was clearly intentional, according to US officials.
This is an especially acute problem for the newest generation to come online, known as the "Next Billion Users".
Datally, however, is more than just a way to monitor data use. Google's program also reveals how much data the main app now running in the foreground is using up. Once connected, users can rate the Wi-Fi networks themselves based on their own experience.
Despite its intended target audience, Datally sounds useful for anyone with throttled "unlimited" mobile data plans in the USA and other developed nations, as well. Of course, there are people who would gladly pay for faster access but for those who need to scrimp and save, you can do so by identifying first how you use your data.
