US Fighter Pilots Spot UFO In Newly Declassified Pentagon Footage

Feds reportedly spent $22M on mysterious UFO program

In an interview, the now-retired Reid said that he was "not embarrassed or ashamed or sorry" to have pushed for the investigation of potential threats posed by UFOs, according to the Times. "I've done something that no one has done before".

While the body of (still mostly classified) evidence that the program has gathered does suggest that there are things going on that we don't know about, it's still now too much of a leap of faith to assume that all of these unidentified objects are alien in nature.

But according to the Times, certain aspects of the program still exist with officials from the program continuing to investigate encounters brought to them by service members, while these officials still carry out their other duties within the Defense Department. In his resignation letter, he questioned why the USA wasn't spending "more time and effort" on UFO research. Since leaving the program, Elizondo and a number of other government officials have joined To The Stars Academy Of The Arts And Science, which you might recognise as being founded and run by none other than Tom DeLonge, formerly of Blink-182.

The majority of designated funds went to an aerospace research company run by Reid's longterm friend Robert Bigelow.

One of the videos obtained by the New York Times shows two American fighter jets pursuing an airlifter-sized oval object off the coast of California in 2004. "I've done something that no one has done before", Reid said.

Although government funding for the program was gutted in 2012, the program continued operating under the leadership of Luis Elizondo, a military intelligence official.

Bigelow is "currently working with NASA to produce expandable craft for humans to use in space", according to the NY Times.

Deadly Amtrak Derailment Shows Need to Immediately Fix Nation's Infrastructure
At the time, analysts said positive train control technology could have prevented the accident. The locomotive and several of the train's passenger cars landed on the interstate.

The U.S government has investigated UFOs off for decades, dating back to cases during World War II, but the notorious Project Blue Book didn't begin to look into UFO sightings until after the 1947 "UFO crash" in Roswell, New Mexico.

The Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program was created as part of the Defence Intelligence Agency in 2007 at the request of then Nevada Sen.

Researchers also studied people who said they had experienced physical effects from encounters with the objects and examined them for any physiological changes.

One of the pilots said that the mysterious rotating aircrafts were "going against the 120mph wind". Pilots attempting to understand what they see can be heard in this video published by the Department of Defense, which, however, refuses to specify the date and location of the incident.

The AATIP program was not fully classified, but a very small number of U.S. officials were informed.

Elizondo was clearly a fan of AATIP too, and hasn't given up on UFO research.
