Dear God, An Exiled Trump Aide Has Totally Imploded On National Television

White House dodges question about possible insider trading

Then later in the interview, Nunberg seemed to contradict his original refusal to comply with the Mueller investigation. In congressional testimony a year ago, Prince, founder of security firm Blackwater, denied representing the Trump campaign in that meeting.

Continuing his streak of surprising comments, Nunberg told The Associated Press later that evening that he'd likely end up cooperating with Mueller after all.

The Special Counsel investigation led by Mueller is examining allegations that Trump's campaign collaborated with Russian Federation to sway the 2016 election that put him in the White House.

Before wrapping his appearance on Erin Burnett's show, the CNN host said she could smell alcohol on his breath and asked Nunberg if he had been drinking.

Nunberg's conclusion that he should comply with Mueller's subpoena for his communications with Trump and several key campaign aides came only after a defiant round of interviews in which he brushed off the possibility of going to jail for ignoring the special counsel's subpoena.

UPDATE: March 5, 2018, 3:16 p.m. PST Nunberg later appeared on NY1 where he called Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders a "joke" and "fat slob".

"They want me in there for grand jury on Friday".

But Nunberg denied he had drank anything or that he had taken anything other than his medication.

Nunberg also said that he did not want to spend what he predicted would be "80 hours" searching for his communications.

Another possible line of questioning could be related to Trump's activities in Moscow in 2013 during the Miss Universe pageant, which the president once owned.

"I think that [Trump] may have done something during the election, but I don't know that for sure", Nunberg said on MSNBC.

"I believe that Carter Page was colluding with the Russians", Nunberg said on CNN.

If Sam Nunberg defies the subpoena to testify before the grand jury, Robert Mueller could ask the court to immediately issue a warrant for his arrest. "I definitely did not dump a body in there between the hours of 4 and 6 last night!"

"I mean I despise Corey, why would I communicate with him?" He later told Tur he would cooperate with Mueller. Speaking with various media personalities and reporters including Katie Tur, Gloria Borger, Jake Tapper, Ari Melber, and more, he continuously made stunning statements about the investigation and the campaign and appeared to dig himself deeper into legal trouble as he went along. He recently said that he believes he is being monitored by the FBI "Sure they'll get my grocery lists, they may get the emails between my wife and me, but here's what they won't get - any contact with the Russians".

He added: "The Russians and Trump did not collude".

"Nunberg took over cable news like a vehicle chase, " Colbert said.

Nunberg served for six weeks as an adviser to Trump before he was sacked during Trump's run for the White House.

"We are fully cooperating with the office of the special counsel".

The White House was quick to dismiss Nunberg and his claims.
