Republicans are launching a preemptive strike against formerFBI Director James Comey's credibility, labeling him "Lyin' Comey" in advance of his book and publicity tour in which he is expected to trash President Trump.

Comey said then-DHS secretary Kelly said he was "sick" about the situation and "intended to quit" in protest, saying "he didn't want to work for dishonorable people" - meaning President Donald Trump.

Mr Comey has faced criticisms from the Democratic party too, after he announced the Federal Bureau of Investigation would be further investigating Hillary Clinton, the party's presidential nominee, shortly before the 2016 election.
The exhaustive plan to attack Comey illustrates how seriously Trump's allies are taking the memoir and a round of television interviews Comey is set to give, including on CNN starting next week followed by a town hall April 25.
Comey's book, "A Higher Loyalty", is set to go on sale on Tuesday. "And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not".
