Amit Shah To Address Mega Rally In Mumbai Today
Prime Minister NarendraModi today accused the Opposition of divisive politics and announced that BJP MPs will observe a fast on 12 April to protest the impasse in Parliament, for which he blamed the Congress.
"Rahul and (NCP chief Sharad) Pawar, listen". The rally is slated to end at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) where the BJP leader would address the people. He said BJP won't allow to remove reservation.
The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated its founder's day with a huge rally in Mumbai, maintaining a focus on the 2019 Lok Sabha election. And he followed up this scathing and very effective, largely because it is true, political attack by declaring that the countdown to the Lok Sabha election had begun. While Amit Shah addressed a massive workers' conclave, the prime minister directly interacted with 734 district party presidents and other workers through the Narendra Modi app.
The BJP chief, during his speech, repeatedly told party workers to start a door-to-door campaign "not on the basis of slogans and empty promises, but on the basis of governance". He must have given some injection that is why now Rahul Baba is daring to ask about four-and-half years of Modi government.
Speaking on the Supreme Court's amendment of the SC/ST Act, Shah said his party is not going to abolish reservation from the nation.
He said at present, 70 per cent of the country's population was having BJP rule.
Once again using the examples of victory in Gorakhpur and Phulpur by-polls, Mayawati said that the Uttar Pradesh people had taught a lesson to the BJP for using such an "insulting and Sanghi" language, according to news agency ANI. "Modi government has planned to compensate farmers with 1.5 times the price of their crop".
Shah said that the government will not scrap the reservation policy, nor will it allow anyone to do so.
Shah's arrival in the city resulted in traffic snarls on the Western Express Highway last night, as 25,000 local BJP workers took out a three-kilometre-long rally - including 10,000 bikers and several vehicle drivers - to welcome him.
She added: "Shah's statement is enough to prove how low the party has fallen under the leadership of the Guru [Narendra Modi] and the Chela [Amit Shah]". Several residents in Mumbai complained about the traffic snarls in the city, including Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
