Tyson Fury Signs With Promoter Frank Warren for Boxing Return
13 April 2018, 01:51 | Percy Christensen
Tyson Fury returns in June
Should Fury prove victorious in his comeback effort, it will be interesting to see whether he can interrupt the best-laid plans of the division now that unified champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) and fellow unbeaten WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs) appear on a collision course to face each other.
The 29-year-old has signed with Frank Warren as he prepares to make his return to boxing on Saturday 9 June at the Manchester Arena.
Fury's decision to sign up with Warren comes two weeks after Joshua urged him to sign with Matchroom Boxing - the promotion run by Eddie Hearn - in a bid to negotiate a fight.
The former IBF, WBA and WBO champion will take on an an unnamed opponent in what will be his first fight since 2015, when he beat Wladimir Klitschko.
"He's a big old dosser, belt carrier for me", said Fury.
By January, Fury had reportedly lost close to four stone in weight, and plenty more has fallen off since as evidenced by a picture uploaded to Instagram by "The Hitman" earlier this week.
Fury was sensational in ending Klitschko's nine-and-a-half year reign with a shock points win.

I hope he makes ten times more money than he's got and sells a million tickets.
Tyson Fury will fight for the first time in almost three years when he returns to the ring in Manchester on June 9. He's going to be busy, he needs some rounds under his belt. "There's nothing worse than having a mental problem".
He replied: "No comment", adding: "I'm a boxer, I'm not interested in politics or anything else". Timing, reflexes, everything, better than ever, I kid you not. I've been as low as anyone man can go and as high as any man can go.
"I've got to congratulate Joshua, he's done very well".
Though the fitness side of Fury's comeback is very much still a working progress, significant improvement has seen him prove doubters wrong and get into a position to re-ignite what has been so far, a flawless professional career.
