Would the LCD iPhone have no 3D touch feature and be made of a different kind of metal. Since the cheaper iPhone, this year is not equipped with Samsung's OLED display, the chances are that the device looks more like an Android notch smartphone than the iPhone X.

It is widely believed by analysts that the company will hand over billions of dollars worth of dividends and share buybacks over the next few weeks.

The Wall Street consensus estimates for the iPhone appears to be that last quarter's sales will be up 2%, and that revenue will be up by 13%, with more to come ...

Chief executive officer Tim Cook and other Apple executives have a "major prove-me" period ahead, beginning with a new sales forecast and a conference call with analysts on Tuesday, GBH Insights analyst Daniel Ives said.

iPhone X in pictures - Apple's stunning new smartphone revealed Sat, September 30, 2017 APPLE'S iPhone X will be released in November and features a stunning new design with an edge-to-edge screen. Since then, a series of analysts have slashed their estimates for iPhone shipments. Other two model should have the 3D touch as they are OLED models using the same display technology.

The new display will reportedly raise costs to between $23 and $26, thus, leading Kuo to predict that since Apple's new display module is more expensive, it might ditch the 3D Touch features to balance costs.

Whether Apple will kill off 3.5mm headphone jack connectivity to its smartphones entirely this year is very debatable.

It is estimated that third quarter unit sales will go down by up to 5 percent year-over-year.

That left a hole in the market for a breakthrough iPhone close to the previous price -and Apple is already working on filling this demand.
