As we reported earlier, Zimmerman threatened to feed Jay-Z to an alligator for his involvement in the documentary.
According to the investigation, the private investigator told deputies he had contacted Zimmerman in September, on behalf of the executive producer of the documentary, and gave him information on how to contact him.
ABC News attempted to find out if Zimmerman has a lawyer who could speak about the charge, but it is not clear from court documents that he has an attorney.
George Zimmerman, the onetime local watch volunteer that has been acquitted in the 2012 shooting passing of Trayvon Martin at Central Florida, has been charged for supposedly threatening and raping a detective agency involved in a documentary concerning Martin.
Court documents stated that Warren had left one voicemail to gauge Zimmerman's interest in participating in the documentary. In a two-hour period, Warren allegedly received 21 phone calls, 38 text messages, and seven voicemails from Zimmerman, the probable-cause affidavit said.
Zimmerman, who's had several run-ins with law enforcement since the racially charged 2012 case that ignited protests, is scheduled to be arraigned on the single misdemeanor charge on May 30. And, when asked by Warren to stop contacting him, he allegedly stated "I'll show up at your home you FUCKING PUSSY!"
Zimmerman said, "I know how to handle people who f**k with me, I have since February 2012". And, "Anyone who [expletive removed] with my parents will be fed to an alligator". This led Sheriff's Sgt. Shannon Seiple - who had met Zimmerman before - to give him a call on January 3, to confirm the calls and messages were in fact coming from Zimmerman himself. Seiple identified herself, to which Zimmerman responded, "You [expletive], what do you want!" and "What are you calling me for you [expletive]!" according to the warrant request. Zimmerman claimed he had been assaulted by a patron.
