Warm, sunny Monday to kick off summery week

Finally — sunny, warmer weather in the forecast this week

Friday, mostly sunny and warm. Winds southeasterly light, often variable, veering south-southeasterly in the evening. Hartford was even colder with the temperature plummeting to 21 degrees. That provides drier air and a sunny sky to start next week. But before we do, there are a few more marks to make.

May is starting on a much warmer note, with the temperature expected to reach 82 degrees in Providence on Wednesday and Thursday. Southwest wind 11 to 18 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 31 miles per hour.
